This craft is easy as pie… I mean a piece of cake!
Here is a list of supplies:
- 11 - 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of paper
- scissors
- adhesive
- ribbon
- 11 - 1 3/4” flowers to top. You can cut out your own flowers or buy a bottle of crafting flowers.
Print out this cake box template onto a regular 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of copier paper. Then load your decorative cake paper into the printer and make copies so that the cake template prints on the back of your decorative paper.
Now grab your scissors and the stack of printed templates from the printer and go watch some TV as you cut out your 11 pieces of cake. Trust me, it goes faster than what you think.
After all the templates are cut out, score and fold on the lines to shape your box.
Now would be a good time to attach any flowers or decorations you would like on the top of your cake especially if you are going to attach them with eyelets.
I forgot to take a photo as to where you should add adhesive. You need to add adhesive to the right most side tab and the bottom tab. It is fairly obvious when you assemble your box.
Lastly, fill your cake boxes with candy and your ready to serve!
Side note: next time I think I will add a little something to the outer edge. I think if I make one more slice of cake that would make a solid circle and then I could tie a ribbon around the whole thing.
